The three main celebrated day in Malaysia are ‘Hari Raya Aidilfitri’ (Muslim Celebration; most of them are Malay), Chinese New Year (Chinese Celebration), and ‘Deepavali’ (Hindu celebration; most of them Indian). The most popular foods when ‘Hari Raya Aidilfitri’ is Lemang (glutinous rice roasted in bamboo tubes), Ketupat (rice cake boiled in a rhombus-shaped packet of plaited young coconut leaves), and Rendang (meat simmered in spices and coconut milk). The most popular food when Chinese New Year in Malaysia is "Moon Cake". And the most favorite food of Indian is Maruku (like junk food with nuts), Roti Canai (fried and grind down break) and Chapatti.
